November in the Greenhouse

November at Laughing House and our children, even those of pre-kindergarten age, enter the greenhouse with their teachers and plant vegetables, herbs and learn about the benefits of urban farming.
Through their participation, all children come into contact with the stages of cultivating products of high nutritional value which are essential for their proper development, which are also included in the daily diet plan offered by our school.
In addition, they learn about the attributes of plants and their needs and take care of them by digging, watering and monitoring their growth. Through the hands-on cultivation of plants, children develop their critical thinking and develop a sense of cooperation as they observe the work of their classmates and help them so that together they can see the seeds blossom.
As a means of developing environmental awareness, the greenhouse helps develop respect and appreciation for the earth and our goal is to instill a general ecological attitude in our children.
